Lesson 9: Building confidence and becoming a professional speaker

We've covered a lot of ground over the last few weeks.
Today's lesson is really more of an assignment than anything. I'm also going to tell you about what additional content and resources I'll be sending you over the next few days.
My hope is that what I’ve taught you have given you some of the early steps you need to start getting booked and paid to speak. What I’ve shown you isn’t just tactical, but I hope it creates a mental and inspirational shift that you can do this.
You can be a speaker!
When I first started speaking, I spoke at a few things for free and fumbled my way through the process.
But deep down I knew I could do this. I knew I had the potential and the drive to be a speaker.
What I lacked was confidence and a plan.
I knew I could do this, but I didn't know how.
Maybe you know what that's like.
I know many speakers were in your shoes and decided to take action. For example, let me tell you about my friend Kyle who a few years ago was working at a sign company he hated, was away from his family a lot and had this burning desire to speak but no idea how to get started.
I worked with Kyle for the past few years and today he has a hugely successful speaking business. He started with zero events on the calendar but will do close to 50 PAID speaking engagements this year and earn well over $100k+ from speaking.
